December 2011

WHAT A DIFFERENCE COMPARED TO LAST YEAR!
Last year was the coldest December on record. I remember we had to close all the sites for 3 days and I missed party after party(business only of course)because of the trains not running.
2011 however, has been pretty dry and reasonably mild. This has been great news for the staff on site as they've really managed to push forward with their projects.

WHO'S WORKING WHERE?
Alex, Steve and Ali have been travelling down to Michelmersh in Hampshire for the past 3 months where the spectacular 1 acre kitchen garden has been flying along. This includes over 400m² of reclaimed Yorkstone and brick paths, a huge Alitex glasshouse and bespoke made wrought iron archways and fruit cages.
Dan, Keith and James have been building a beautiful contemporary town garden in Putney, West London, which has been designed by Andy Sturgeon. Definitely one for the BALI awards next year!
Gavin, Mark and Matt have been down in Alfreston, East Sussex, constructing a stunning courtyard designed by Joe Perkins, and I've been rushed off my feet planting and doing a lot of the work for our quarterly maintenance service.

CLOSING FOR CHRISTMAS
This year we are going to close on Tuesday 20th December and come back on Tuesday 3rd January 2011. This gives all the staff a great opportunity to have a proper rest and enjoy some quality time with family and friends.

THANK YOU AND MERRY CHRISTMAS
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of our clients and designers for the work given to us this year. I wish you all a very merry Christmas and happy prosperous New Year.

Very best festive wishes,

David Dodd
