August 2009
Thankfully, we've now finished all our show garden building for the year. Our final one was very simple as it was just myself assisting designer Marcus Green with his oak sculpture in the 'Visionary Garden Category' at The RHS Tatton Park Flower Show. The concept was very effective and I had a great couple of days working with Marcus.
Future Gardens, in St. Albans, is still open to the public and runs until September. We built 2 gardens for this exhibition, one for Marcus Green and the other for Andy Sturgeon, and we wish them every success with the show.
Our project for designer Nigel Philips in The Haven, near Billingshurst, should be coming to an end this month. This has been the largest garden we have built, some of it extremely complicated with changes and variations on a regular basis to contend with. However, the finished result is beautiful.
Our other current projects in Dorking and Sheen are running well and we've got some really exciting work coming up over the next few months, so do keep an eye out on this newsletter to find out what we're up to.
The staff have been working brilliantly throughout what can only be described as one of the most miserable Julys I can remember. I thought we were overdue a decent long hot summer this year, but alas, the forecast for August is looking pretty bad as well.
As always, please don't hesitate to contact us to discuss any projects you would like us to build for you.
Our next newsletter shall be posted in September 2009
Have a great summer!(If there's anything left of it!)
