September 2009
With the weather already turning distinctly autumnal , I have to say, with the exception of the mini heatwave in June, we've had yet another poor summer. On the plus side, it has enabled us to carry out some large planting schemes without having to become a slave to irrigation.
We're on the last phase for our project in The Haven, near Billingshurst, which has been designed by Nigel Philips. This has been the largest garden we have built, some of it extremely complicated with changes and variations on a regular basis to contend with. However, the finished result is going to be beautiful.
We've just finished a fantastically designed back garden in Sheen, London, for Marcus Barnett. This involved the laying of sawn York stone terraces and steps leading down to a stunning new swimming pool, planting of huge Acers and Yew trees from Germany as well installing an extensive lighting scheme.
Our other current projects in Dorking and Beare Green, Surrey, are running well and both should be finished in the next 4-5 weeks.
The other really good news this month, is we've had confirmation that we will be back at The Chelsea Flower Show next year for Tom Hoblyn. The design is amazing and we're already looking into construction methods and schedules.
Please don't hesitate to contact us to discuss any projects you would like us to build for you.
Our next newsletter shall be posted in October 2009
