Newsletter
November 2009
With the evenings drawing in and the Christmas festivities getting earlier and earlier each year, autumn is definitely on it's way out and the start of winter is beginning to creep in.
November is the end of The Outdoor Room's financial year and I'm pleased to say that turnover and profit is up again. Despite the recession, the number of enquiries coming in and quotes being sent out over the past month has been at our highest in the history of the company. Bookings for next year are up and we've got some spectacular projects already confirmed for 2010.
The staff have had their annual reviews and I have to say what a pleasure it is working with such a fantastic dedicated team. All of them had very positive feedback regarding their work over the past year and they all responded to their reviews with great enthusiasm.
Our aims are to improve our service even further for 2010 by providing even more staff training and looking to recruit some of the countries finest craftsmen. The introduction of new management has ensured we are able to provide even better customer care, which has always been very important to us.
I've also been very busy teaching and preparing lectures and designer workshops for next year. I'm involved in preparing an evening for BALI next month discussing what the recession has done to the landscape industry as a whole. It going to be a really interesting evening with two other excellent guest speakers; Designer, Andrew Fisher Tomlin and fellow contractor Norman Hambrook.
Our next newsletter shall be posted in December 2009, but in the meantime, please don't hesitate to contact us to discuss any projects you would like us to build for you.
