Construction of formal gardens around the main house. The mature pleached limes came from a nursery in Germany and were planted with an underground anchorage system.

The Indian sandstone terraces and paths were edged with brick and the raised beds and retaining walls were concrete block faced with Forest of Dean sandstone. The formal pool was rendered concrete and coated with black glass reinforced plastic.
